This is a unique opportunity to be part of the early team at Cottage which will work closely together to craft and execute upon our business strategy. At Cottage, we’re building a platform to design, permit and build at a speed, quality and price that hasn't been seen before in the industry.

As the Strategy and Analytics Manager, you'll be driving outcomes across all parts of the business and new strategic initiatives. You are intellectually curious and are very comfortable with using data to solve business problems and identify opportunities. You also have the strategic skills and execution experience and mindset to deliver outsized outcomes. This will be a highly cross-functional role with leadership visibility and close collaboration with Sales, Product and Operations teams. This role will report to the Head of Finance & Strategy.

What You'll Do

• Identify data-driven insights to improve core business performance, particularly around revenue and gross margin
• Own strategic cross-functional initiatives to deliver outcomes against insights
• Build a best-in class dataset and automated analytics to help measure the efficiency and health of the business and identify data-driven insights
• Assess areas for strategic expansion into new business lines, products and geographies
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and optimization
• Participate in investment decision-making across the business as well as capital strategy
• Participate in future fundraising, including help craft investor materials

What You'll Need

• 3-6+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking or strategic operations in a high-growth tech environment; MBA is a plus but not required
• Very high comfort level with data - experience with SQL, Airtable or other spreadsheet/database tools required; familiarity with dashboarding tools such as Looker, Sigma or Google Analytics is a plus
• Analytical, data-driven mindset combined with ownership mentality; you’re not just capable of interpreting data but also take responsibility for a number and moving it in the right direction
• Intellectually curious, creative and enjoy working on big open-ended questions to deliver practical strategic solutions
• Strong communication skills and collaborative work style; you work well cross-functionally and are able to able to operate with many ideas and inputs
• Proven track record as a self-starter who delivers outcomes and can project manage many stakeholders
• Comfort with a fast-paced and rapidly changing (but fun!) work environment
