Carta, a startup offering capitalization table management and valuation software, is making heavy investments beyond their Silicon Valley headquarters.
They recently announced the launch of their new venture fund, Carta Ventures, which was founded specifically to accelerate the rise of growing tech hubs and markets. Their fund has already invested in other funds that are past speakers at Powderkeg events and members of Unvalley communities, including:
- Hannah Grey
- Lightship Capital
- Human Ventures
- RareBreed Ventures
- Sixty8 Capital
- Zeal Capital Partners
Carta is also expanding their commercial operations into Asia with the opening of their first office in Singapore. The company chose Singapore as the main point for their Southeastern Asian expansion because of the growing amount of venture capital flowing into that region.
It’s clear that more and more people are seeing the massive opportunity in previously untapped markets and communities. We’re confident that this trend will continue as companies continue to reap the rewards of plugging into the Unvalley.
