SkyKick is currently looking for a creative, proactive, and adaptable Software Engineer in Test to join our Backup team. You will work with our team of experienced Software Engineers, Leads, Software Architects, and Product Managers to ensure quality delivery of complex features and automation on our platform. You are passionate that quality is achieved only as a team and love collaborating as a key to success. You are equally passionate about learning and mentoring. The Impact You'll Make

• Collaborate with project team members to understand requirements for assigned projects
• Work with team members to help define feature requirements, use cases, and test strategies
• Identify and leverage effective and scalable tools for automating our testing systems and delivery pipeline
• Build and extend existing testing frameworks to easily and quickly test new features and products
• Improve the observability of the application and its resources through instrumentation, monitoring, and alerting
• Empower software engineers to effectively test their code through expansion of automation capabilities, solid documentation, and collaboration
• Investigate and report application issues as they arise

What You Bring

• 3+ years of developing software tests
• Demonstrated experience leading projects to success.
• Experience with SDLC and software testing methodologies including modern manual and automated testing techniques
• Demonstrated ability to apply modern software testing methodologies in a fast paced, dynamic/agile environment
• Knowledge of C#/.NET, SQL, HTML, JavaScript and modern web services
• Able to work independently and collaborate with team members of both technical and non-technical disciplines

Bonus Points

• Experience working with Cloud based software solutions in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud (Azure preferred)
• Experience with observability and monitoring services such as DataDog and Grafana
• Experience with Containers/Kubernetes
• Experience integrating with Microsoft 365 systems such as Exchange, SharePoint, Groups and Teams
