What You’ll Do:

SkyKick Engineering is in search of creative, proactive, and adaptable Sr Software Engineers to join our Site Reliability team. You will work with our team of experienced Software Engineers, Leads, Software Architects, and Product Managers across SWAT/Site Reliability, Migrations, Cloud Manager, Platform Services, and Cloud Backup Teams to design and deliver complex features and automation on our platform. You are equally passionate about learning and mentoring. In this critical role, you will impact the success of not only your team and our company – but most importantly, the success of our clients on a global scale. The Impact You’ll Make

• As a Site Reliability Engineer you will help drive a highly collaborative team of engineers to develop, monitor, manage, and maintain cloud scale applications that bring incredible value to our customers.
• In this critical role, you will make decisions through analysis and best practices to impact the success of not only your team and our company – but most importantly, the success of our clients on a global scale.
• You will design, develop, implement, and maintain awesome features on a SaaS based applications that have garnered Microsoft’s Start Up of the year award.
• You will design, develop, and implement solutions to monitor and mitigate potential partner impacting events
• You will collaborate with product managers, designers, QA, and other engineers to improve existing functionality.
• You will lead and mentor others in agile development processes, including scoping, detailed design, effort estimation, coding, testing, debugging, code reviews, maintenance, and support.

The Expertise You Bring:

• PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• 7+ years of experience developing on the .NET Framework in C#

• 3+ years mentoring others in a technical leadership position

• Experience developing Cloud based software solutions in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud (Azure preferred)

• Mentorship and guiding a variety of mixed-skillsets amongst junior level engineers or peers

• Strong understanding of Object Oriented programming including usage of Design Patterns (Dependency Injection), Asynchronous programming, and Testability

• Ability to take a problem full end-to end- including research, suggested solutions, and breaking the feature down into User Stories and Tasks

• Ability to effectively and proficiently communicate within a diverse working environment, and remote teams across multiple time zones

• The aptitude to develop and work with an agile mindset

• Ability to become a Subject Matter Expert in areas of the product

• Experience with Microservices

• Ability to use root cause analysis to debug and solve issues at scale

• Experience in TypeScript or JavaScript

• Experience working in an Agile environment

• Experience with Containers/Kubernetes

• BONUS POINTS:

• Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or other metric monitoring exposure

• Angular

• Experience with IAC such as ARM, Blueprint, Terraform or equivalent

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as in Azure DevOps or GitHub

• .NET Core

• PowerShell
