ThorDrive is looking for a highly motivated individual to work with us as an
Electrical technician. As a part of our team, you will be responsible for
wiring the electrical and electronic components that are added to the vehicles
to make them autonomous and to maintain and repair low-voltage electrical
components.
Responsibilities:
- Install different types of electrical and electronic components inside panels
- Drill holes and run wires and cables through the vehicle
- Measure and troubleshoot devices to evaluate the proper performance of electrical components
- Make electrical circuit boards
- Help the engineering team to design custom made panel enclosures and conduits
- Supervise the process of building panel enclosures by the fabrication shop
- Send purchase requests as needed and keep track of inventory of electrical components
- Size and select proper wires and cables
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an electrical technician
- Experience working with wires, cables, and hand tools
- Knowledge of soldering
- Knowledge of electronics components like transistors, capacitors, MOSFET, etc.
- Knowledge of power components, like inverters, converters, battery chargers, etc.
- Knowledge of working with diagnostic devices such as multimeters
- Team-oriented, cooperative, and collaborative attitude
Preferred:
- Ability to size different electrical components like inverters, converters, batteries, etc.
- Ability to check the electrical blueprints and scan them for errors
- Knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent software for wiring design
- Knowledge of Solidworks or equivalent software for enclosures design
- Understanding of vehicles mechanics and ability to perform maintenance
