We are looking for a Tokyo-based Brand Marketing Manager to help us grow and elevate our brand perception and acquire users in Japan. In this role, you will help the Japan marketing team in many different aspects, from day-to-day operations to overall planning and brand strategy for Japan.

We are looking for a Marketing Manager to help us grow our business and elevate our brand perception in Japan. In this role you will:
・Work, review, and define brand strategy and positioning as well as execute multiple campaigns and tactics to build the brand and achieve growth through online/ offline activities.
・Lead brand campaigns to further strengthen Tinder as a brand in the Japan market (including conceptualizing, budgeting and ongoing analysis)
・Develop and maintain a dynamic campaign testing framework with strong analytical mindsets to optimize results and maximize learning.
・Lead and collaborate with agencies and partners for in-market events and activations
・Manage Tinder Japan brand development as a key strategic member of the team
・Drive both registration growth as well as positive brand awareness.
・Manage day-to-day marketing operations
・Gain knowledge of the Gen-Z audience, and keep up with cultural trends
・Monitor market trends, and research consumer markets and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities and threats
・Manage the day-to-day logistics of project plans such as timelines, budgets, and reports
・Report to Japan Brand Manager
We're looking for:
・8+ years of relevant work experience at a start-up, agency or client-side brand marketing, with preference in consumer interest space of lifestyle brands or technology
・Strong desire to build a career in brand marketing
・An integrated marketing mindset, passion for creative excellence in storytelling through multiple media types, both visual and written, with solid experience in brand and creative strategy, off and online media, including social, paid media, measurement & analytics, project and agency management.
・Collaborative in approach, empathetic in nature, and steadfast in intention.
・Appetite for a fast-paced environment and desire to constantly reassess and optimise.
・Excellent written and oral communication, a keen visual sense, attention to detail.
・Solid and proven leadership capabilities, building teams / networks, and communicating across national boundaries a must.
・Proactive desire to understand and take ownership in how their work contributes to the bigger picture.
・ to work within tight deadlines, adjust quickly to changes in priorities, and balance short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives. Ability to simplify is key!
・Great knowledge and familiarity on Gen-Z culture in Japan
・Native in Japanese and fluent in English (TOEIC 900+)
Good to have:
・ A strong customer-oriented mindset and a strong desire to understand the underlying needs of different Tinder user groups
・ A good understanding of the current pop culture trends in Japan
・ Experience in working in a diverse and international environment can be a huge plus
・ The ability to communicate marketing strategies effectively with various stakeholders
・ Experience in working in tech and/or youth-focused digital marketing industries
・ Creativity and ability to think out-of-the box
