Product Localization Specialist, Tinder Japan

We are looking for a Product Localization Specialist who can dedicate to craft a world class experience by building an innovative and outstanding product that is globally relevant, as well as impacting our local users and members every day at scale. In this role you will:

Define each global localization requirement with our HQ Product Team in Los Angeles, USA

Work with teams/vendors to deliver high quality, meaningful, and market appropriate localization to our users in Japan

Determine and drive ideal style, tone, and voice in Japanese communications with Brand Manager

Perform check-ups on high visibility product content and newly localized documents to make sure great user experiences

Lead vendor relationships and align the overall localization strategy with key partners in Asia and HQ

Learn about brand strategy, localization operations and help make decisions for international rollouts

Develop and execute creative initiatives to improve localization efforts for the team and product

Set, communicate, and maintain timelines and priorities on every project

Research, identify and address localization needs for your market and understand deeply about competitor features and differences

Report to the Country Manager in Japan

We're looking for:

Native level fluency in Japanese and business level in English

An advocate for Tinder!

A deep understanding of Japan’s GenZ culture and trends

A strong writing ability in Japanese

Strong attention to detail, multitask and see things through

Adequately prioritize to improve business impact in a fast-paced environment

Excellent soft skills with a standout colleague attitude

Willingness to thrive in an international environment, with multiple languages and time zones

Bonus points if you can/have:

Relevant knowledge and experiences in product management for smartphone app/website

The ability to easily identify and spot an error in text

Digital Marketing, SEO and ASO experience

BA or equivalent in a similar field such as translation, linguistics, communications etc
