Hinge is looking for an experienced Senior UX Writer reporting into our VP of Design to lead our content strategy and maintain copy excellence in all touch points across our app. In this role, you will partner with a cross- functional team of product managers, designers, researchers and brand to develop and own the content strategy and approach to how we communicate with our users on and off of the app.

This person will be the designated product writer for all in app product features, email and notifications, monetization, international, etc. This person should have experience writing for mobile applications, ideally in the consumer space.

Responsibilities

• Solve challenging and deeply emotional problems with human-centered design thinking, and communicate solutions with language and storytelling that is on Brand.
• Partner closely with product managers, designers, researchers, marketing and engineering to drive features forward from conception to execution.
• Craft digital/product copy that is authentic, courageous, empathetic while being action-inspiring.
• Create, own and champion the content strategy for all product facing copy on and off the app
• Translate complicated concepts into clear in-product copy (UI, notifications, errors, and more)
• Create, maintain, and evolve in-app content guidelines in partnership with brand and marketing.
• Spearhead copy A/B testing across the entirety of the product journey and communicate out those learnings.
• Be a fearless optimist that is eager to take calculated risks.

What We’re Looking For

• At least 5 years of experience as a UX writer or content designer
• Experience writing for mobile applications, preferably consumer facing.
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Understands the strategy behind UX writing and how it differs from brand
• Experience developing content hypotheses and testing them through A/B testing.
