As a critical part of our Product Analytics team, you will help guide Match’s Product decisions by crunching large data sets, building models and driving key insights. You’ll also work with other cross-functional teams like BI, Finance, CRM, and Engineering.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • You will serve as an internal consultant to product managers, marketing and CRM teams on A/B tests as they move initiatives from concept to market by communicating business insights gleaned from your analysis of large data sets
  • You will research issues about customer behavior/changes by analyzing relevant metrics and trends in order to support enterprise level initiatives
  • You will help with member market research by assisting with the design of questionnaires and analyzing the results

We could be a match if:

  • You have 3+ years of SQL experience, advanced Excel skills, and are familar with applied statistics
  • You have completed a degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering / related field, Marketing, or MBA with quantitative focus (or 2+ yrs prior experience in product analytics supporting digital applications including mobile apps)
  • You are a self-starter with good communications skills and a desire to collaborate with others
  • You have experience going beyond number-crunching, reports, and dashboard creation -- you are able to understand the business impact of the data and make recommendations based on your findings

What’s the team like?

  • This position sits on our Analytics team, which is based in Dallas and reports into the Director of Analytics and Data Science specifically supporting the Match brand
  • The Data Analysts serve as internal consultants, providing business guidance based on users. Simply put, we want to understand our customers: what they need, what they do, how to retain them and ultimately how to help them find the best dates
  • Our team’s mission is to use data to deliver long-term strategic insights. We also provide short-term guidance on A/B tests and user behavior
