The Match Group Safety team is on a mission to create safer platforms and
communities for all. As Sr. Program Manager of Critical Safety Incident
Programs you’ll join Match Group’s growing Safety Team to execute on the
company’s strategy to enhance user safety for Match Group’s portfolio of
brands.
This role will report to the Senior Director of Law Enforcement Ops &
Investigations and will manage a central program to advise and support
efforts, workflows and processes to receive, investigate, and respond to
critical user safety incidents across all brands. You will also serve as a
partner and advisor to brands’ safety teams on all critical incident &
response programs.
This position will sit in one of the cities where we have offices / work
space: West Hollywood, Dallas, San Francisco, or New York.
How you'll make an impact:
- You will review and manage program safety risks across brands and advise on safety mitigation strategies
- You will oversee the execution of the critical safety incident & response best practices, policies, & protocols. Partner with Match Group’s Central Trust & Safety Operations team for content, policy and procedural updates to develop clear escalation paths, empathetic user comms, appropriate investigative practices, and consistent application of brand safety policies
- You'll continually monitor and assess the critical safety incident programs at the brand level and advise on changes as necessary
- You will lead deep-dive and root cause analyses to identify operational gaps and work with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows
- You'll conduct needs analysis, design scalable learning solutions, and coordinate development of training artifacts across teams
- You will plan and manage complex safety-incident-related projects from problem definition to final execution and global localization; optimize the process and procedures to ensure timely and effective delivery
- You will analyze casework trends and produce strategic recommendations to the business to proactively address systemic issues
- You will also analyze and report on growing critical safety incidents as it relates to dating by evaluating internal data to inform on safety approaches
- You'll consult and collaborate with brands on complex investigations
We could be a match if:
- You have completed a Bachelor's degree in business operations/management, criminal justice, or behavioral science and have at least 5 years experience in private and/or public sector law enforcement strategy or investigation supervision at a global tech company
- You have experience in content moderation/security policies, customer support/help center, or managing and building similar high-volume outsourced operations
- You have the ability to solve large unstructured business problems, working closely with cross-regional and cross-functional teams including Engineering, Product, Legal, Privacy and Operations
- Your communication skills are excellent, and you have the ability to clearly articulate complex policy principles and guidelines for technical products to multiple cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders or partners
- You have experience building out workflows and processes related to severe user safety incident & response protocols and investigations including physical and online harms
- You are comfortable with stakeholder management at the director level and above and have experience working cross-functionally with security, legal, compliance, cybersecurity, and privacy teams
- You can work productively within ambiguity
Skills and experience that would be helpful:
- You are a subject matter expert in critical safety incidents & response protocols, victim advocacy, or crisis response
- You have experience/knowledge in data analysis, process design/improvement, launch/incubation, product/internal tools launches, or other operational program management
- You have experience in operations, consulting, program management, process design, process improvement, or business process reengineering
