VP, Data will report directly to the CTO and will be an integral part of Hinge’s Tech Leadership Team. In this role you will be responsible for leading our high functioning Data Engineering, Data Products, and Decision Science teams and will be the architect of Hinge’s Data strategy. You are a seasoned leader with a deep passion for coaching and growing others.

Responsibilities:

• Deeply understand the Data needs of Product, Community, Marketing, Tech, and other orgs at Hinge and continuously identify new opportunities to apply different Data methodologies toward reaching company goals
• Evolve the mission, technical direction, org structure, and culture of the Data Team
• Set long term (three years) vision for the Data Team
• Develop annual roadmaps for Data projects and hiring, and translate those into quarterly plans
• Coach, grow and empower Data Team managers
• As a member of Tech Leadership team you will be a key player in progressing Hinge technically, operationally, and culturally

What We're Looking For:

• Deep technical expertise and experience in Data Analytics and/or Machine Learning, with substantial understanding of and exposure to the other Data disciplines
• Extensive experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and other disciplines at both the leadership and hands-on levels
• Experience in building and evolving a multi-tier Data organizations
• Experience building and delivering on long term plans, strategy, projects, and hiring plans
• Knowledge of SQL, Python, ETL technologies, BI tools, and modern engineering practices
• Superb communication skills, particularly the ability to listen, synthesize, advocate, and evangelize
