Role

In this role, you'll be responsible for developing integrated communications strategies that support Upgrade's company goals and brand positioning. We're looking for someone who loves a new challenge, thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment and has broad communications experience spanning, social/digital, brand, consumer insights, and events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop integrated communication strategies that support company goals and align with product and brand positioning
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Design, Product, Operations, Legal, and Compliance teams to develop corporate and marketing messages
  • Collaborate with an external PR agency and senior executives on various PR campaigns and messaging
  • Monitor key players in the industry (competitors, press, influencers, etc.) to inform our communications strategy
  • Oversee the company's online presence, including social media and online reviews
  • Partner with the Operations team to develop responses to customer feedback
  • Create long- and short-form content including video for various mediums to build Upgrade’s digital presence and reputation
  • Use data to analyze impact and performance and adapt accordingly
  • Track and report on key performance metrics to senior management
  • Manage internal communications in close partnership with the People Operations and Talent Acquisition leadership
  • Communicate company news, ensure that team members have access to the information they need to accomplish their daily tasks and support recruiting efforts

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Communications and/or PR experience in B2C
  • Experience driving strategy while also "rolling up your sleeves" to execute on initiatives as needed
  • Creative thinker with a proven ability to turn ideas into actionable programs that build engagement and product awareness
  • Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working with senior leaders and creating executive platforms and thought leadership programs
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail
  • Experience working in a fast paced, highly collaborative organization
