Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement & maintain a range of credit strategies which include front end underwriting, portfolio management & loss forecast for Upgrade Card
  • Actively evaluate line and transaction level credit bureau, alternate, internal, and external data to propose and/or review credit expansion and/or tightening efforts, clearly presenting, and discussing alternatives, advantages, and disadvantages based on supporting data and industry experience
  • Design & execute tests to understand sensitivity around line and pricing assignments to optimize return/revenue
  • Work with Product and Engineering to find opportunities in current onboarding flow to optimize funnel and customer experience
  • Develop and improve risk infrastructure to scale risk management capabilities
  • Build robust data and reporting structure with support from data platform, BI and engineering
  • Monitor and communicate card performance through hands on analysis
  • Develop and manage periodic reporting templates to executive management, and Upgrade Investor teams

Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or Economics.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years industry experience, 2+ years of experience managing credit risk and /or fraud and/or data science in financial services industry
  • Knowledge and experience of segmentation, statistical procedures, decision tree, and financial analytic tools are required
  • Expert knowledge in SQL, R/ Python required, Tableau preferred
  • Strong data-manipulation and data visualization skills
  • Able to explore new tools, new methodologies to solve real-world problems
  • Detail oriented and strong analytic skillset Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment whilst focused on critical issues
