Responsibilities

  • Learn Risk & Compliance Department with a focus on the backend databases containing all relevant business information
  • Continue to gain an understanding of the business through design, develop, unit testing, and maintenance of Tableau reports for scalability, manageability, extensibility, performance, and re-use
  • Work with team members to create useful reports and dashboards that provide insight, improve/automate processes, or otherwise add value to the team
  • Collaborate with various teams across Upgrade for contextual understanding of input data, as well as communicate findings to those teams ex-post
  • Work towards automation and scalability of Risk & Compliance operations
  • Actively build your skillset by researching and learning new statistics, data science, and development tools and techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in STEM or STEM related field
  • 2+ years experience as a technical resource in statistics, mathematics, data science, or development
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Willingness to learn python, SQL, data modeling, and database schema
  • Experience with data visualization tools through Tableau or similar
  • Comfortable going deep into complex technical topics, understanding modeling and algorithms
  • Comfortable Writing documentation and presenting analysis to people with different levels of expertise
  • Business-focused mindset with a demonstrated ability to take ownership and resolve issues with minimal supervision
