The Ecosystem team at WHOOP builds software that enables members to integrate their data with other apps and services with WHOOP. We provide experiences for members to bring new data sources and data types that give them a more accurate understanding of their bodies and behaviors. We enable members to share their WHOOP data and insights with other apps and services to help members achieve their goals with any tool they need.

As an iOS Engineer on the Ecosystem team, you will be responsible for creating the foundation for how external data integrates with the iOS app and developing integrations such as Apple Health Kit. You will work closely with product managers, designers, and data science to develop privacy-centric experiences for importing into WHOOP and sharing insights from WHOOP.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work on a cross-functional team that works closely with product and data science teams across WHOOP.
• Create the foundation for unlocking new integrations from the iOS app with a focus on high quality and privacy.
• Contribute to the Apple Health Kit integration to allow members to integrate their data with WHOOP and share WHOOP insights back to Health Kit.
• Collaborate with product teams and data science to create new integrations that power innovative insights for members.
• Drive cross-team projects to completion working with other Backend, Android, and iOS engineers.

QUALIFICATIONS

• You are an iOS engineer with experience in building, testing, debugging, and delivering iOS apps in a professional environment.
• You have experience with Swift and knowledge of Xcode and debug tooling.
• You are excited to dive into how data from external sources can help unlock human performance and promote healthy behaviors for WHOOP members.
• You have experience sending and receiving data from an iOS app with a RESTful backend.
• You are a product-minded engineer with empathy for the customer experience.
• You have a passion for developing high-quality software that is extensible.

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
