The Observability team focuses on building technology that enables continuous monitoring of critical services to accelerate product development across our entire software organization. The team collaborates with all software teams to create a platform that helps manage insights and analysis for applications, systems, and network infrastructure. We aim to bring WHOOP to the highest level of performance and availability across the globe leveraging a combination of AWS and cloud-native infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work in a cross-functional team that works closely with all product teams across WHOOP
• Develop tooling on top of cutting edge technologies in the pursuit of expediting developer productivity and speed across all software stacks.
• Create a first-class development experience by simplifying the way WHOOP builds product features.
• Build tooling to help automate how system health is monitored and managed across all of Software.
• Work directly with AWS and Kubernetes to create visibility into service costs and highlight potential optimizations.
• Integrate with leading technology like Kubernetes, Kafka, and other critical distributed systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• You are experienced with backend development (preferably object-oriented) in APIs, Queue workers, and other archetypes.
• You are excited to dive deep into challenges that extend past building applications and into infrastructure.
• You thrive in a fast-paced and data-driven environment.
