What we are looking for: Wise Systems’ Technical Writer’s focus will be
on creating user-focused content, including but not limited to training
manuals, guides, tutorials, videos, knowledge base articles and software
documentation. Your role within Wise Systems will be to make complex technical
information accessible to both employees and clients, and give them materials
to help understand and maximize value from the growing product portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the product and design teams to translate product and feature behavior into a comprehensive portfolio of assets that accelerate customers’ and internal stakeholders’ understanding of the Wise Systems platform
- Develop and/or modify technical documentation materials in a variety of formats (including user specifications, manuals, videos, knowledge base articles and others as needed)
- Collaborate with product designers and developers to ensure thorough understanding of every feature and translate them into clear, concise and digestible materials that accelerate and deepen product knowledge.
- Incorporate user feedback into future revisions and improvements in technical content
What makes you qualiified
- Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other related field of study
- 2-4 years of experience in technical writing for engineering, IT management, or related industries
- Experience using Zendesk Guide or a similar knowledge base management platform
- Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate across the business lines
- Diverse knowledge of complex technical subjects and fields to understand technical information before making it easier for others outside the technical field
- Detail oriented to include the ability to create comprehensive guides and manuals, organized thought process and ability to be clear, precise and as detailed as possible while breaking down complex technical information into easily understood content
