Wisk is currently seeking a PLM Solutions Developer who will take a proactive role in developing and enhancing various PLM tools and their integrations along with maintaining various Wisk databases that support engineering, manufacturing and other groups. We use Teamcenter as our main PLM system and use NX, Solidworks, Altium (Nexus), Capital as CAD systems to support our engineering and manufacturing design. We have deployed SAP B1 as our enterprise resource planning (ERP) tool and we are in the process of deploying Siemens Opcenter as our manufacturing execution system (MES). Along with other members of the Configuration Management and Enterprise Systems (CMES) you would identify areas of improvement for our integration and data driven architecture. You would examine the existing tools configuration and utilization and offer solutions to improve efficiencies, ensure data transfer between systems and make data collection more streamlined while maintaining one source of truth for all data generated.

You will have experience supporting mechanical, electrical or electro- mechanical engineering data and have knowledge of data architecture to support design development, manufacturing deployment and flight test environments in support of an FAA certification program.

Within 3 months you will

  • Get up to speed on the variety of tools and processes the CMES team uses to support the mechanical, electrical and aerodynamic environments. You will get to know about:
  • Teamcenter PLM Architecture and Environment Setup
  • Other Supporting CAD and Non-CAD Systems
  • Integrations with Teamcenter
  • Process that have been implemented for design, manufacturing and systems engineering

Within 6 months you will

  • Start analyzing and become familiar with Wisk business processes
  • Make recommendations to continually improve our processes and aircraft data management strategy
  • Configure, Customize & Build solutions to meet business processes and requirements
  • Work closely with level 1 support team to analyze recurring issues and propose solution improvements for better user experience
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help CMES team develop PLM road map and contribute to the vision plan
  • Ensure data integrity and provide solutions when inconsistencies are discovered

Requirements

  • BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science or other relevant fields
  • 6+ years of experience working in Teamcenter PLM environment with excellent understanding within the areas of BOM Management, Change Management, Master Data Management and other integrated systems (e.g. ERP and MES)
  • Excellent Teamcenter Solution Designing for both Client, Server, and integration with third-party applications such as ALM (Polarion), ERP (SAP B1), MES (Opcenter) etc
  • Excellent coding & architecture skills in Java, C++, AngularJS, TCL, and ITK & Stylesheet customization, and SOA client development
  • Hands-on experience in Active Workspace configuration & microservices and knowledge using deployment center would be an added bonus
  • Experience working on version upgrades for PLM systems, upgrade knowledge with Teamcenter 12/13.x and Active Workspace 5.x would be an added bonus
  • Experience in DevOps tools and overall deployment process

Desired

  • B.S/M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or another relevant discipline
  • 6+ years of working experience working on systems such as Siemens PLM
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft or similar design development processes
  • Experience developing and implementing systems
  • Some experience with scripting languages (Batch or Python) and automation
  • Knowledge of Aircraft Certification Processes and Standards (FAA Part 23 and 25)
