We are currently seeking a software engineer with user interface experience to join us in developing exciting and revolutionary ground flight control systems for a new class of all electric aircraft. You will draw on your full life cycle software development experience to be part of a technical team specifying, designing, and implementing the piloting ground systems for a new certified commercial aircraft.

The Role

• This software engineering role is responsible for developing and delivering the safety critical user interface for the ground systems aspect of our airmobility solution. The ground systems software will control and monitor our fleet of aircraft. The successful candidate will have proven experience developing designing, coding, and user front end software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, unit-test, and integrate high-quality embedded software
• Troubleshoot software issues and fix defects
• Perform requirements analysis and author detailed requirements
• Write test specifications and integration tests
• Author scripts and utilities
• Perform software/hardware bring-up

Requirements

• BS or MS in computer science or relevant engineering discipline
• 4+ years overall user interface development experience
• Client development experience using C/C++, Python, and Java
• Experience designing and building REST APIs
• Proficiency in JSON and XML
• Proficiency in browser-side client technologies including HTML5, CSS, ReactJS/Redux and object- oriented JavaScript
• Experience with large-scale software architecture, networking and distributed systems, design patterns, and UNIX/Linux environments
• Good knowledge of SQL
• Demonstrated ability to design and develop production systems
• Attention to detail and a dedication to deliver high-quality, stable applications
• Good written and verbal communications skills

Desired:

• Proven software development experience governed by processes for certified safety critical systems (DO-178B/C, etc )
• Experience in ground flight systems development
