We are looking for a Senior Reliability Engineer to join our team. The goal of System Safety & Reliability engineering at Wisk is to build an aircraft that is safe to operate in an urban air-mobility environment. In support of this goal, you will work alongside development lifecycle stakeholders to establish, monitor and verify subsystem RAM (Reliability, Availability and Maintainability performance requirements for all design changes and development efforts.
Develop and execute reliability program plans based on product lifecycle requirements
Interact with cross-functional teams, integrated product teams and participate in vendor selection activities
Perform reliability allocations and predictions. Support and develop design guidelines for product reliability
Develop Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Built In Test (BIT)
Experience driving failure investigations to root cause and corrective action
Plan and/or lead Highly Accelerated Life Testing (HALT), Environmental Stress Screening (ESS), Vibration testing and Thermal testing
Gather and analyze failure rates, time-to-failure and reliability calculations, reliability block diagrams and assess reliability architectural allocations. Calculate Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time Between Unscheduled Removal (MTBUR)
B.S. in engineering and 8+ years experience in Reliability Engineering
Experience performing most types of reliability analysis
Experience creating, validating and verifying aircraft and system-level reliability requirements
Understanding and experience working with ARP4754A, DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160, ARP4761, MIL-STD-882, or similar standards
Understanding and experience working with TSOs, RTCA, SAE etc. and other certification/performance standards
Experience with Reliability Analysis tools like APIS, CAFTA, Reliability Workbench, Windchill, Reliasoft etc.
Experience working with vendors/suppliers.
Familiar with software reliability
Excellent written and oral communication skills. Candidate should be a self-starter capable of performing assigned tasks with minimal oversight.
Experience with an aircraft integration development program from conceptual design through certification.
Availability, Maintainability and Testability experience
Experience with SysML, Cameo etc.
Experience working in an agile development environment.
Experience with Requirements tools like Doors, Polarian, Teamcenter Systems Engineering, etc.
Familiarity with Fault Tree Analysis (FTA)
Strong focus on continuous improvement of organizational processes.
