Why we need you

  • Wisk is currently seeking a Vehicle Integration Lead who will take a proactive role in the support of all CAD users, as well as configure and maintain an Integrated Vehicle Model using NX CAD and associated tools such as NX Open, Checkmate, and others. In this role you will work collaboratively with designers, team leads, and managers to ensure the Integrated Vehicle Model meets our requirements and supports the product development.

What you will do:

  • Own the NX CAD for the Integrated Vehicle Model to ensure the design team is following best practices for NX CAD and large assembly collaboration
  • Perform fly through meetings to review clearance and clash issues, identify latest design changes that impact system and subsystem integration
  • Maintain action item list for design teams to ensure latest design iterations are incorporated into Aircraft and Top Level assemblies
  • Provide expert knowledge to the engineering design team for drafting, modeling, reference sets, and NX core capabilities
  • Use tools such as checkmate to ensure model integrity
  • Prepare 3D CAD baselines for design reviews including Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review, Flight and Ground Test Configurations and other 3D CAD baselines as needed
  • Contribute to strategy and roadmap for model based definition, ensuring that we’re following best practices and being as efficient as possible with our toolset
  • Ensure the Top Level and Aircraft Assembly models can support flight and ground test, procurement, FAA certification, model and simulations and all aspects of production.
  • Work with Configuration Management as various levels of System and Subsystem configurations enter a more formal change management process to ensure problem reports and change requests are properly documented and incorporated into the Integrated Vehicle Model

What you have done:

  • At 10+ years of experience in Siemens NX and Teamcenter and end-user support
  • Experience with model-based definition in NX including the following:
  • Advanced modeling and drafting experience
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Composite Aerostructures design experience
  • NX Application Launcher, Attribute Mapping, NX Checkmate, Teamcenter Visualization and configuring the NX Reuse Library with the Siemens Machinery Library.
  • Familiar with NX Routing applications for Electrical, Mechanical and Schematics.
  • Hands-on experience with Teamcenter Structure Manager
  • Experience with Teamcenter Classification
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to interface with a wide range of users and instruct and mentor them
  • Constantly expanding your own abilities through on-demand learning and skills development

Desired:

  • Experience with Teamcenter EDA and ECAD component libraries
  • Experience with Fibersim
  • Experience with SolidWorks and SWIM Teamcenter integration
  • Experience with NX Open
  • Experience configuring CheckMate for model validation
  • NX Line Designer, NX Physical Architecture Modeler, Mechatronics Concept Designer, NX Join and/or Syncrofit, NX Algorithmic Programming, NX Implicit Modeling, NX Structure Designer & customization, NX PMI with automated authoring.
