About the Role

Orchard is looking for a Head of Mortgage Sales to manage our mortgage sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering on revenue goals, driving productivity by team members, developing KPIs, and managing a team of sales managers and team leads. In addition, you will train the team on maintaining strong relationships with our real estate agent partners and customers to provide a stress-free, simple, and fair experience. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience leading a tech-forward, call center mortgage sales teams, and optimizing conversion across multiple lead channels.

This is a full time role that will report into the GM of Mortgage and can be based out of San Diego, CA or Austin, TX, with the option to be remote.

What You’ll Do Here:

  • Drive conversion of mortgage leads through building a best-in-class mortgage sales team
  • Manage a team of sales managers for our Home Loan Officers (HLOs) and Loan Consultants (LCs)
  • Build sales processes that empower our HLOs and LCs to provide the best customer experience while also reaching our revenue targets
  • Oversee hiring processes to sustainably grow the HLO and LC teams to empower Orchard’s fast-paced growth goals
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and other internal teams to achieve business goals

We’d Love to Hear From You if You Have:

  • 7-10 years of experience of success building inside, technology-enabled sales teams in the mortgage or real estate space
  • 5+ years of people management experience, and have ideally managed managers
  • Proven ability to hire and train sales teams in a licensed, regulated environment
  • A track record of building great partner relationships with other parties in the real estate transaction
  • Ability to drive results and achieve metrics based goals (i.e. conversion rate and attach rate goals)
  • Systems level thinker with the ability to create processes that empower our HLOs and LCs to serve the customer
  • An educator’s mindset towards training and building out the best in our mortgage sales team
  • Ability to prioritize what to improve first and what to phase for later
  • Strong customer focus
  • A team player with the ability to take responsibility to drive things forward even when others may not
