About the Role

Orchard is looking for a Processing Manager to manage and oversee our Processing function. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the processing team to processing, making sure all deadlines are met, resolving complicated loan escalations, and maintaining exceptional communication with internal & external customers/borrowers. You will also lead and motivate all employees within the loan processing teams and provide coaching and constructive feedback as needed. 

This is a full time role that will report into the Sr. Manager, Mortgage Operations and be based out of our growing Austin, TX office with the option to be remote.

What You’ll Do Here:

  • Assigning and monitoring the pipeline of each Loan Processor to ensure all loans are moving through the pipeline in a timely manner and that members are being contacted in a timely manner, meeting defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Evaluating calls with designated Quality Control (QC) tool between members and Loan Processors to ensure that Loan Processors are providing legendary service.
  • Serving as the contact on any escalations and responding to member surveys.
  • Producing and analyzing reports on key departmental metrics and leveraging the reports to support decisions.
  • Auditing files periodically to verify procedures are being followed and that all legally-required paperwork is being completed and is in adherence with deadlines, laws and regulations.
  • Preparing responses to audits or examination findings, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Holds every colleague on their team accountable for results including compliance and all metrics set forth by management.
  • Ensures all colleagues on their team operate in accordance with the established workflow.
  • Provides colleagues honest and clear feedback regarding strengths, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provides weekly/monthly coaching and guidance for colleagues so they can improve their performance.
  • Serves as a single point of contact for all escalated matters

We’d Love to Hear From You if You Have:

  • Should be a problem-solver, decision-maker, and self-starter with a can-do attitude who accepts challenges readily and works well in a fast-paced work environment
  • In-depth knowledge of mortgage loan products (FHA/VA/CONV/USDA) and knowledge of mortgage processes, procedures, and documentation
  • At least five years of mortgage experience with exceptional processing skills and at a minimum of 3-5 years of management or supervisory experience
  • Exceptional skills in training, developing, motivating, leading, and inspiring teams through strong communication and management
  • Demonstrates a commitment to integrity and client confidentiality and can work well under pressure

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $90,000-$110,000/year, which includes a combination of base salary and annual on-target commission pay.
