About the Role

Orchard is looking for a Senior Manager, Mortgage Operations to manage our operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for establishing, leading, and retaining a best in class loan operations team. You will be managing the Operations team in processing, underwriting, and closing loans fast & efficiently; while maintaining exceptional communication with internal & external customers/borrowers. You will be responsible for employee engagement initiatives and results.

This is a full time role that will report into the Director of Mortgage Operations and be based out of our growing Austin, TX office with the option to be remote.

What You’ll Do Here:

• Handle all lending functions, which may include but are not limited to funding, processing, underwriting, and closing
• Keep a close eye on the loan pipeline to make sure that internal compliance policies are being followed and that we’re delivering exceptional customer service
• Maintain and update workflows, procedures, and policies to ensure smooth operations and address challenges with strategic resolutions as they arise
• Clear conditions, resolve any issues and restructure the loan as needed by working with the processing and underwriting teams to assure efficient and successful loan closures
• Supervise all operations departments to make sure that loan applications are submitted to processing and/or underwriting on time   

We’d Love to Hear From You if You Have:

• A problem-solver, decision-maker, and self-starter with a can-do attitude who accepts challenges readily and works well in a fast-paced work environment
• In-depth knowledge of mortgage loan products (FHA/VA/CONV/USDA) and knowledge of mortgage processes, procedures, and documentation
• At least five years of mortgage experience with exceptional underwriting and processing skills and at a minimum of 3-5 years of management or supervisory experience
• Exceptional skills in training, developing, motivating, leading, and inspiring teams through strong communication and management
• Demonstrates a commitment to integrity and client confidentiality and can work well under pressure
