Product Director at Panorama Education | Powderkeg

About Panorama: **
**Panorama is a fast-growing national technology company focused on radically improving education. More than 1,500 school systems serving 15 million students across all 50 states have adopted our platform to understand students’ academic and social-emotional strengths and to identify those in need of additional support. School systems turn to our suite of tools to ensure that every child gets the support they need, including school climate and social-emotional learning surveys, tiered intervention planning, and professional development.

Panoramians can choose to work fully remote anywhere within the Continental United States, in-person from our Boston/San Francisco offices, or a hybrid option.

**About the role: **

You will lead our flagship Panorama Student Success product, which serves tens of thousands of educators in school districts across the country as a platform for holistic data-informed decision-making and student support planning.

In overseeing the entire product lifecycle, you will own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the product, and manage successful roadmap execution by multiple product teams. As you chart the course for Student Success, you will think holistically about product health, working to deepen user engagement and student impact and drive key business outcomes such as revenue growth and retention.

As the communicator-in-chief for this vision and strategy to other stakeholders, you’ll collaborate with team members from other functions and rally these teams around our strategy to drive business, engagement, and impact outcomes.

As a leader within our Product Management team you play a central role in advancing our product management processes and systems as we grow and help team members advance in their careers.

Responsibilities:

  • You will evolve the vision and strategy for our Success product
  • You will build and evolve a successful execution strategy across multiple product development teams, working with your design and engineering counterparts to empower them and help them drive the work forward
  • You will partner with other teams to build launch strategies for new Student Success offerings, transforming the vision into a compelling story for our buyers, setting pricing, and planning rollout
  • You will lead teams to achieve goals related to our Student Success product’s revenue, client retention, and user engagement
  • You will manage a small team of Product Managers who work on small cross-functional development teams and help them to define and scope solutions within your product area and grow in their careers as PMs
  • You will collaborate with our research team to ensure that the solutions we are building are consistent with relevant scholarship and evidence-based practices
  • You will serve as one of Panorama’s experts in the challenges of and opportunities for improving K–12 education in the area of data-driven decision-making and multi-tiered systems of support—a thought leader in the way Panorama’s SEL product can help effect change toward better, more equitable outcomes in K–12.
  • You will talk with teachers, principals, and district leaders across the country to understand their challenges and validate that our solutions will help solve their problems
  • You will engage stakeholders across the company, including senior leaders, in our strategy and plans, building understanding and buy-in for the product's direction.

Our Ideal Candidate Has:

  • 10+ years experience in product management (or a combination of product analytics, product marketing, product management) within a technology organization
  • 4+ years people management experience and a track record of developing team members and empowering them to hit goals
  • Extensive experience developing holistic product strategy, from high level to structuring and scoping to validating choices
  • Ability to communicate clearly and inclusively, in a way that generates enthusiasm and invites feedback and engagement across all levels
  • Ability to direct major cross-functional initiatives with effective prioritization and influence
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to synthesize and use data and metrics to back up assumptions and inform decision-making
  • Understanding of SaaS metrics and analytics
  • Experience working within an agile product development team
  • Experience generating insightful visual displays of quantitative information

Panorama excitedly hosts two in-person "all team meetings" a year. All Panoramians attend and travel/hotels are provided. (Paused due to Covid)

Panorama Education is dedicated to building a diverse and inclusive company because we serve students, educators and families from tremendously diverse backgrounds and identities across the country; we’ve seen how our product and impact are strengthened the more we reflect that diversity. In addition, we have found (and we believe the research) that diverse teams are higher- performing, and we embrace the varied perspectives that our team members share with each other. As such, we are an Equal Opportunity Employer. Panorama also has a policy on maintaining a drug-free workplace.
