**Summary: **

We are looking for a Clinical Lab Assistant to join our operations team who enjoys troubleshooting and problem solving in a dynamic, team-oriented environment. In this role, you will have the opportunity to participate in the daily activities of the laboratory in order to effectively maximize turnaround time, equipment, and material utilization while adhering to quality technical standards.

*Please note, this is a temp to hire opportunity with a typical duration of 3 months working as a temporary worker prior to conversion to employee status.

• Sun to Thurs AM (7:30am to 4pm) – Training schedule may be different
• Tues to Sat AM (1-9:30 PM) – Training schedule may be different

**Responsibilities: **

• Participate in laboratory support work as required by the team needs and at the direction of laboratory management in order to achieve Quarterly Goal
• Lead the general upkeep, orderliness, and cleanliness of the laboratory
• Respond to and resolve Equipment and Environmental Monitoring tickets and potential issues as well as maintain and respond to lab equipment escalation ticket system requests
• Ensure that all equipment, refrigeration units and all corresponding calibration records are properly maintained in accordance with daily/weekly/monthly schedules
• Follow the laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling, receipt, organization, management and data entry into the lab information management system (LIMS)
• Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies; prepare internal and external QA audits
• Organize and maintain sufficient inventory of reagents, supplies and equipment in the laboratory and perform monthly inventory/consumable audits
• Help maintain a safe working environment by following all Safety SOPs
• Other duties as may be determined by Management

**Requirements: **

• Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology or related field and 0-1 years of related experience
• Demonstrated math and computer skills and ability to work independently
• Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Excellent verbal communication as well as accurate documentation skills and the ability to comply with regulatory requirements
• Able to lift/move up to 25 pounds as well as sit and/or stand for extended periods
• Willingness to work overtime, off hours, and on holidays as needed
