Summary:

The Sr. Product Manager will be responsible for the continued development and commercial support of the Personalis Services for Immuno-oncology. They will oversee all aspects of the product life cycle from product development through end-of-life. The Sr. Product Manager will interact with a broad range of departments including R&D, Operations, Applications Support and Sales.

We are seeking an experienced Sr. Product Manager for Personalis Liquid Biopsy cancer liquid biopsy products. The Personalis portfolio of cancer liquid biopsy products enable an unprecedented breadth of characterization of a patient’s tumor, and highly sensitive detection of cancer, all from a single blood sample. These products give both pharma and oncologists powerful tools for the development and management of new cancer therapies, and insights into therapy response.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as domain expert in the liquid biopsy market, working directly with global sales and field application scientists (FAS) teams to address opportunities across different customer segments
  • Strong focus on translating voice of customer and voice of field to product requirements.
  • Work closely with R&D organization and other cross functional groups in a core team setting to support development of new products.
  • Work with outbound marketing to help define and execute on marketing deliverables including go-to-market plans, sales support materials, field communication, etc.
  • Train and support the field organization
  • Assess and develop detailed analysis of market needs and gaps, opportunities and trends, market landscape and revenue projections
  • Develop a multi-year product launch plan for assigned products, working cross functionally to ensure integration of organizational needs and alignment with strategic directions
  • Manage on-market products, product enhancements and new product introductions, defines product value proposition, positioning, and pricing.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key customers and partners

Requirements:

  • BS in life sciences, or genomics-related field; advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.B.A.) preferred
  • 3+ years in product management, preferably in molecular tests
  • At least 4-5 years of combined experience in product management, sales, marketing, or technical support or customer facing role in life science, medical device, or diagnostics required
  • Solid understanding of customer needs and market drivers to find innovative solutions for the broader market.
  • Ability to influence people and diverse stakeholder groups within a global, matrixed organization
  • Decisive and action-oriented – ability to set goals and deliver results
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Track record of successful product/service launches
  • Ability to build and present a strong business case
  • Knowledge of the cancer market as applied to pharmaceutical/drug development
  • Clinical Trials/CDx/Dx experience highly valued
  • Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%
