Project Manager at UnitedMasters | Powderkeg

**# Who we are **

We are a well-established independent agency and thriving music business, built to help ambitious brands harness the power of culture to solve their biggest challenges. As a unique mix of experts in culture, technology, and storytelling, we are united by a passion to grow brands in ways that advertising alone can never do. We are an entrepreneurial business – not a traditional “ad agency.” That means we value resourcefulness and tenacity just as much as we value creativity and intelligence. We’re unapologetically ambitious, but we’re also a tight-knit crew.

**# What's the role **

As Project Manager you are an agent of Translation as a whole, not of any one department, beholden to the work and to the success of our and our clients’ business. You will monitor and course correct constantly…keeping an ear to the ground for new and changing information, team needs, discrepancies amongst the team…making the right conversations happen and engaging the right experts for their critical input at the right moment. It is critical that this Project Manager maintains an air of calm…having plans a, b, c and d, and knows how best to steer complex and fluid project teams. Bottom line, this leader will enable business, strategy and creative leads to focus on the big idea, not operational details and/or logistical issues.

**Essential Responsibilities You’ll Own **

  • Strategically run day-to-day tasks across multiple projects/brands
  • Interface and drive conversations with teams re: workflow, process, resource and project issues
  • Understand shifting priorities across the entire agency and work with fellow PM’s and Lead Teams to resolve
  • Drive the process of integrated campaigns (film, experiential, social/digital, OOH) from scope through delivery
  • Develop project timeline, monitor progress and enforce milestones
  • Maintain real-time status and internal communications
  • Set up briefs/reviews and record and distribute clear deliverables, direction and next steps
  • Ensure all necessary reviews/approvals by lead/exec team(s) allowing time to impact the work
  • Actively monitor issues and new developments, keeping the team informed, and proactively problem-solving
  • Maintain daily/weekly hot sheets, and run core team status per account
  • Manage day-to-day action items and priorities across the team
  • Compile and organize all project assets and documents on the server
  • Ensure all presentation materials are executed flawlessly and plan the necessary time to prepare
  • Motivate team to collaborate effectively, looking out for the best interest of the work and our business
  • Work with department leads to allocate the right team(s) for each project
  • Coordinate efforts with vendors and partner agencies (getting estimates, sharing files, etc.)
  • Have foresight to predict and/or spot issues and resolve at a moment’s notice
  • Straddle multiple brands and projects simultaneously

We are seeking a Project Manager who is driven, sharp, and entrepreneurial...they do what it takes to unify the team in the collective effort of developing and executing great work. You are someone keen to be a part of a team who aspires to do nothing less than transform what this industry can become. You desire to put your fingerprints not on ads, but on culture at large. You are seeking to take on the responsibility to do what cannot be done elsewhere by championing brave ideas -- and advocating for the people that build them. Translation’s project management team is the glue that leads and binds together our nimble, multi-disciplinary teams. They drive the internal workflow on each client/project, from initiation and planning to insight and idea development to execution and post-project refinements to job close.
