TOPS is looking for a Corporate Accountant to join our team!
On a day-to-day basis, you'll be in charge of keeping bank and account reconciliations up to date and backed up. You'll be reviewing our books and putting together analytical statements on accounts, then presenting to your manager for review. You'll assist with audits, keeping the P&L looking good and ensuring accruals are accurate. We will also ask you to report the organization's finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.
Some of the challenges include a lot of things being thrown at you, sometimes it feels like being pulled in five different directions at one time while always having support from a tight-knit and talented team. We have a NetSuite integration for A/P in progress and the integrations for billings will be in May.
This full-time salaried role works closely with the rest of the corporate accounting team and reports to our talented Accounting Manager. Salary range for this role is 55-65k, depending on experience. This position is remote eligible, with a preference for candidates in CST/EST.

Perform bank reconciliations
Document financial transactions by entering account information
Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options
Summarize current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement and other reports
Substantiate financial transactions by auditing documents
Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures
Guide accounting clerical staff by coordinating activities and answering questions
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
Secure financial information by completing database backups
Verify, allocate, post and reconcile transactions
Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
Assist with internal and external audits to ensure compliance
Support month-end and year-end close process
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
