Role and Responsibilities

I. Knowledge of and experience working with the following tools/languages:

  * Python (general purpose libraries/ecosystem, HTTP server, UWSGI)

  * JavaScript (ES2017, React, MaterialUI, charting libraries

  * PostgreSQL (and non-specific relational database design skills)

  * GraphQL (understanding, being comfortable with both client & server parts)

  * General API design skills

  * Docker

II. Architectural responsibilities

  * Ability to architect client requirements into new customized products

  * Ability to translate complex customer requirements into sustainable, documented and tested custom products

  * Work with project analysts and engineers to produce architecture documentation

  * Act as technical lead on complex customer projects 

  * Assist in clearing development roadblocks for the project teams

III. Mentoring/Technical Oversight

  * Provide technical mentorship to other members of the project team 

  * Assist with on-boarding training for new technical team members 

  * Complete code review and approve pull requests ensuring coding best practices are followed and assessed for security vulnerabilities (e.g. SQL injections, CSRF)

  * Ensure proper test coverage is in place across codebase 

IV. Release Management

  * Knowledge of CI/CD tools and workflows
