As the Director of Hardware, your responsibilities will include leading the design and development of cutting-edge robotics and hardware systems, managing a team of engineers, overseeing production and testing processes, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of mechanical systems for automated storage and retrieval systems, including 3D modeling, prototyping, and testing.
• Manage and develop a high-performance team of mechanical engineers, including providing mentorship, coaching, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, electrical, and controls engineers, to ensure successful integration of mechanical systems into the overall automation system.
• Oversee the development of manufacturing processes for mechanical components and systems, including material selection, machining, and assembly.
• Drive innovation in mechanical design and manufacturing processes, continually seeking opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years of experience in a managerial role leading a team of mechanical engineers.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks
• Experience in the industrial automation industry, particularly in the design and development of robotics
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional teams, including software, electrical, and controls engineering, to ensure successful integration of mechanical systems.
