<p>As a Senior Backend Engineer at GitLab, you will work on our product. This includes the open-source version of GitLab, the enterprise editions, and the GitLab.com service. As part of this team, your goals will include enabling users to easily migrate their projects and groups from other systems to GitLab as well as GitLab to GitLab migrations and creation of new and maintenance as well as expansion of existing importers. The team is also responsible for enabling users to intuitively collaborate with 3rd party tools such as Slack and Jira so you can expect to have a hand in guiding, facilitating, and leading our implementation of our API strategy. You will work with product managers, designers, and front-end engineers toward common goals.&nbsp;</p>

<li>Craft code that meets our internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment. Maintain and advocate for these standards through code review.</li>
<li>Recognize impediments to our efficiency as a team ("technical debt"), propose and implement solutions.</li>
<li>Represent GitLab and its values in public communication around specific projects and community contributions.</li>
<li>Ship small features and improvements with minimal guidance and support from other team members. Collaborate with the team on larger projects.</li>
