We’re seeking a Database Administrator to join us.

As a Database Administrator for the Product Development team, you will provide highly specialized and advanced technical expertise, guidance, and training to the development team for existing or proposed programs and systems to process data. You will proactively identify new and emerging trends in applications architecture and implement strategies to improve integration and efficiency.

What you'll do:

  • Provide guidance, coaching and support for software engineers on database architecture, data queries and other technical skills
  • Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot database problems
  • Maintain data integrity and security (manage roles and permissions of database users)
  • Develop strategies and implement solutions for managing back-ups and restores
  • Develop, implement, and test Database Disaster Recovery Solutions based on Enterprise RTO and RPO requirements
  • Create detailed documentation including diagrams of database infrastructure
  • Learn relevant business processes and understand data flow, criticality, and dependencies
  • Effectively coordinate and communicate with project stakeholders (internal teams and clients)
  • Resolve complex database issues
  • Continued self-development to understand latest database advancement

What you'll bring to Zotec:

  • Familiar with multiple on-prem and cloud-based database platforms
  • SQL Database development experience
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • 5+ years’ working experience
  • Ability to simplify complex problems or projects into parts to explore and evaluate systematically
  • Ability to evaluate situations, decisions, and issues in the short and long term to meet the end goal
  • Ability to present sound and well-reasoned arguments to convince others
  • Ability to convey ideas in an effective way using a variety of available tools and resources
  • Ability to diagnose, document, and troubleshoot systems to resolve problems identified
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to take lead on cross-team database projects
