The Business Intelligence Team Lead provides a leadership role for the
Business Intelligence team, working closely with the Chief Operating Officer.
The Business Intelligence Team Lead is responsible for guiding the Business
Intelligence team on ways to enable the analysis, implementation, and
validation of practical methods to aid decision-making processes. The position
requires expertise in planning, communication, a multitude of data-based
skills, and attendance at necessary meetings. The Business Intelligence Team
Lead is responsible for adherence to the MIM Software Quality System.
What You'll Do:
- Responsible for the analysis, implementation, and validation of practical methods to aid decision-making processes
- Proactive identification of crucial company data needs, alignment with senior management
- Create, monitor, and refine process effectiveness and process compliance for business intelligence
- Ensure effective training and utilization of the business intelligence platform for all departments
- Maintain a repository of technical and career development resources for team members
- Identify bottlenecks in data capture across the company to form action plans
- Host ongoing strategic review meetings with team members, and attendance at necessary meetings
- Proactively present key insights to stakeholders across the company
What You'll Need:
- Expected to have completed a bachelor’s degree or a more advanced degree in a field relevant to business intelligence management (business analytics, business management, computer/data science, marketing, statistics, biomedical engineering, mathematics, physics)
- Expertise in at least one business intelligence platform (e.g. Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.), and at least one data engineering language (e.g. SQL, R, Python, etc.), is mandatory
- Familiarity with spreadsheet management tools is mandatory
- Must display an expert-level understanding of database structures and querying, data relations and transformations, software development, and the scientific process
- Must have prior experience, whether professional or personal, in a wide array of data-based pursuits
- 7+ years of business intelligence experience in industry are required
- 2+ years of business intelligence management in industry are required
