Job Title: PostgreSQL Senior Software Engineer

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly skilled PostgreSQL Senior Software Engineer to join our software services company. The ideal candidate will be an expert in database model design, schema creation, and have hands-on experience working with Google Cloud SQL using PostgreSQL. Proficiency in creating stored procedures, indexes, and crafting complex queries is essential. The candidate should possess a deep understanding of entity relationships, concurrency issues, and optimization techniques to enhance query performance. Working exposure to Google Cloud Services is required, and experience in Java is a valuable asset. The PostgreSQL Senior Software Engineer will play a crucial role in interacting and communicating effectively with client stakeholders and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop effective database models and schemas, emphasizing best practices.
• Work extensively with Google Cloud SQL and PostgreSQL, including query optimization.
• Create and maintain stored procedures and indexes to improve database performance.
• Craft complex queries and reports to meet project requirements.
• Ensure data integrity, enforce data consistency, and resolve concurrency issues.
• Optimize database queries and data retrieval processes for efficient and speedy results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide database solutions.
• Leverage Google Cloud Services to enhance database capabilities and scalability.
• Interact and communicate with client stakeholders and internal team members effectively.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in database model design and schema creation.
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL and Google Cloud SQL, including query optimization.
• Strong skills in creating stored procedures, indexes, and crafting complex queries.
• Deep understanding of entity relationships and database architecture.
• Experience in database concurrency issues and effective resolution.
• Familiarity with optimization techniques to enhance query performance.
• Exposure to Google Cloud Services and their integration with PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of Java is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective client and team interactions.
