SUMMARY
The Operations and Data Manager will oversee administration processes and
carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: HR policy,
procedures and processes; change management; employee onboarding and
integration; HR systems implementation; offboarding and separation agreements;
retirements and employee data management. This person must be a self-starter,
personable, professional, well organized, discrete, flexible and enjoy the
challenges of working with a team of professionals in a fast-paced,
entrepreneurial environment. This role will report into the Chief Human
Resources Officer and will supervise junior team members.
**RESPONSIBILITIES **
The individual will be involved in the following critical activities:
- Manage day-to-day HR operations and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures
- Focus on process improvement and recommend opportunities for innovation in HR practices that maximize the value of employees
- Develop a holistic view of the business and collaborate with partners to achieve organizational goals
- Proactively create new programs to improve ways of working
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records and reports
- Develop and monitor internal HR systems and databases, specifically Workday
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
The ideal experience and critical competencies for the role include the
following:
- 8-12 years of relevant HR experience in operations, employee relations, and HR technology
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- Strategic and practical problem solver who thinks outside of the box
- Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement and innovation in HR processes
- Strong analytical skills and ability to develop and monitor HR metrics and key performance indicators; leverage data to identify trends and support decision making
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written); transparent, open, honest communicator
- Proven experience with adoption and change management strategies related to the implementation of new initiatives
- Proficiency of HR Information Systems and platforms, including Workday
- Strong ability to collaborate across the HR team and with other partners (e.g., technology, payroll, communications, compliance, etc.)
- Attentive to detail and accuracy especially when working with employee data, including highly sensitive data
- Excellent project management skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Comfortable leading through change and ambiguous situations
- Knowledge of HR policies, labor laws and regulations
- Desire to keep current on the latest HR trends, software tools and practices
- Good at developing and building relationships
