The Head of Strategic Partnerships will define, build and scale strategic
partnerships with technology companies that grow our business and value to our
customers. The role requires an experienced sales and business development
professional with a passion for edtech. In this role, you will identify
opportunities and risks in the market, understand and communicate the
competitive landscape of partnerships, and develop a vision for partnerships
at Clever. This role reports to the VP of Sales and Marketing.
A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Create a vision for how technology partnerships can help grow our business, acting as an advisor to our executive team
- Develop strategy and recommendations to leadership on partner opportunities based on your analysis
- Identify and develop strategic relationships for Clever based on a strong understanding of the U.S. K12 edtech ecosystem, potential partners, and school technology needs
- Develop shared business opportunities and proposals with strategic partners, leading the account plan and relationship management
- Builds key executive relationships with potential technology partners
- Increase the awareness and understanding of Clever technology and capabilities among potential strategic partners
- Align the cross-functional teams on key proposals including representation from Marketing, Product, Sales, Success, Operations, and Engineering
- Contribute in the development and negotiation of significant new business proposals including joint proposals with partners; manage deliverables that are complex, strategic and cross-functional in nature
- Proactively identify and solve complex problems that impact the success of strategic relationships, proposals, and execution
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- 10+ years of experience in sales and/or business development of enterprise technology for public sector customers; cybersecurity experience is a plus
- An advantage: deep understanding of the edtech technology landscape and edtech cybersecurity technologies
- Ability to think strategically and analytically about business opportunities with strategic partners
- Proven experience in establishing and developing complex, global technology partnerships with measurable business impact
- History of successfully completing high level, end-to-end negotiations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time

SALARY TRANSPARENCY:
The range of our base salary cash compensation for this role for candidates
living in the United States, besides NYC and San Francisco, CA, is between
$200,000 - $220,000. For candidates living in NYC and San Francisco, CA is
between is $220,000 - 242,000 . All final offers are determined using
multiple factors including experience and level of expertise.
