Challenges You Will Solve

As an Integrations Support Engineer, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between Integration Partners, Technical Support Engineering (TSE), and engineering teams, serving as a Tier 3 liaison. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of activities, from troubleshooting and supporting 3rd party integrations to owning the outcome of technical issues with partners. You will be expected to leverage your code writing skills as needed to address complex integration challenges.

What You'll Do

  • Liaison Between TSE and Engineering: Act as a Tier 3 liaison between Integration Partners, Technical Support Engineering (TSE), and engineering teams. Collaborate with internal teams to address and resolve complex technical issues primarily related to Integrations but at times also with base code.
  • Partner Support and Escalation: Be the Red Canary SME for a set of partner applications. Serve as the internal escalation point for technical issues with partners and the primary liaison to the partner technical team (Integrations/Partnerships). Own the outcome of technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and effective communication.
  • Feature and Release Management: Report to Product and Engineering relevant new features and product releases from partners (Integrations/Partnerships). Manage end-of-life (EOL) announcements for partner integrations.
  • Enablement and Collaboration: Prototype and enable internal teams on new partner integrations. Create and maintain internal documentation for owned integrations to enable TSE and include troubleshooting, known issues, internal setup, etc. Collaborate with customer-facing teams on technical provisioning questions, providing guidance to TSE.
  • Integration Prototyping and Investigation: Prototype and investigate the viability of 3rd party integrations (Integrations/Partnerships).
  • Versioning Maintenance: Partner with Engineering to ensure appropriate versioning maintenance for partner integration components (e.g., API versioning).
  • Governance and Lab Management: Manage all 3rd party integrations labs and governance (Integrations/Partnerships).
  • Infrastructure Guidance: Provide guidance and support in areas of IT infrastructure including PKI, Firewalls, Cloud Management, and Server Infrastructure with regards to compatibility and viability with partner integrations.
  • Detection Enablement: Provide Detection Enablement with 3rd party data for use in the Core Product (Integrations/Partnerships).
  • Roadmap Collaboration: Understand and keep apprised of partner technical roadmap.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field experience.
  • Proven experience in technical integration roles, with a focus on software and third-party integrations.
  • Strong coding skills with experience in languages such as Python, Ruby, Golang, or similar.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with API versioning and integration best practices.

Targeted base salary range: $115,000 - $130,500 + bonus eligibility and equity depending on experience
