<p>You will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with leading coalitions, employers, campuses, and government customers to influence the communications strategies and tactics Coursera uses to reach learners around the world.</p>
<p>As a key member of the global comms team, you will be integrated into many of our strategic initiatives, with the opportunity to participate in and lead high visibility projects and shape global media narratives. In addition to external partners, you will work closely with a cross functional team from C-suite leadership, product, sales, customer success, and data science, as well as with peers across communications and marketing including regional communications leads to extend global stories to countries around the world.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The role is fully remote and US-based – you will have global access to WeWork and occasional travel for events and tours may be required.&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>

<li>Manage key PR launches, determining media strategy, creating written assets, coordinating agency support, and collaborating with cross functional and partner teams</li>
<li>Manage critical relationships with government, business, and campus partners as well as journalists to ensure shared success of launches and initiatives</li>
<li>Partner with regional comms leads for key global and regional launches, setting press goals and driving coverage globally&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Write PR assets such as press releases, blog posts, speeches, briefing notes, and CXO talking points for major launches and milestones with a clear, concise, and creative writing style</li>
<li>Prep executives for media interviews and key launches&nbsp;</li>
<li>Track new research, industry trends, and key use cases shaping the future of jobs and education to help inform and evolve how we tell our story&nbsp;</li>
<li>Grow the thought leadership program by driving keynotes, data reports, speaking opps, and opinion articles in priority markets with great proactivity and creative thinking&nbsp;</li>
<li>Collaborate cross-functionally to identify customer case studies for PR usage and secure business, government or university participation in initiatives such as events and briefings that help achieve business goals and fuel growth&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Coordinate initiatives with reputable partners like the World Economic Forum, the World Bank, and UNESCO&nbsp;</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Basic Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>4+ years of experience working in relevant communications roles, including coordinating PR campaigns and working cross-functionally with other teams</li>
<li>Background in clear, concise, creative written and verbal communication&nbsp;</li>
<li>Demonstrated history of using data and insights to power thought leadership and media conversations</li>
<li>Experience leading and influencing small teams on a project basis to get ambiguous assignments across the finish line&nbsp;</li>
<li>Proven ability to think strategically, creatively solve problems, and manage multiple projects at once, adjusting priorities along the way as needed</li>
<li>Demonstrated history of working on projects that required cross-cultural communication skills&nbsp;</li>
<li>Familiarity with top-tier business and tech reporters</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Experience in higher education or edtech; mix of in-house and agency experience</li>
<li>Ability to manage senior executives and engage in the strategic planning process of campaigns</li>
<li>Experience with Google Workspace tools like Docs, Slides, and Sheets&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</li>
<li>Experience coordinating campaigns outside of the U.S.</li>
<li>Familiarity with workplace and economics reporters&nbsp;</li>
<li>Passion for education and how technology can address global challenges</li>

<p>Coursera offers competitive pay and equitable compensation practices. Our job titles may span more than one career level.
