Position Overview

The Director, Future of Medicine Program designs, develops, implements, and oversees the operational requirements of the to drive successful retention outcomes for participants in the Future of Medicine Program. The director works closely with Central Clinical Services, Marketing, IT, Medical, Regulatory, Quality, and other key stakeholders within and outside the company to ensure the build and delivery of the program. This role will need to help define the full scope and desired outcomes of the program and be able to drive progress and manage quality work through others.

Responsibilities include collaborating with sponsor teams, project leadership, Care Access leadership, and other teams as required to deliver program results. This role is responsible for determining the key priorities and goals in partnership with sponsor leadership and Care Access leadership, then translating these priorities into actionable goals and activities for their colleagues supporting the program. The director must ensure that the supporting team have appropriate information, expectation, resources, and expertise to deliver on program goals. It is expected that the director has strong working knowledge of and experience in the clinical research industry, including decentralized trials, patient recruitment, and patient retention. Candidates will be hired at the associate director, director, or senior director level based on skills and experience.

What You'll Be Working On

Duties include but are not limited to:

Manage the buildout and operational success of the Future of Medicine program and continuously evaluate best practices, results, and opportunities for growth and improvement, with support from Care leadership

Understand and manage the overarching Future of Medicine processes and enable teams to be successful in execution the various facets of the program

Collaborate with Marketing and Medical to ensure the timely creation and delivery of relevant, valuable materials to program participants

Set and meet timelines for programmatic deliverables

Build and maintain account level relationships with key clients of the program

Partner with key stakeholders to make strategic and tactical decisions in the best interests of the program

Partner with Quality and Regulatory to ensure program activities are IRB approved and being conducted in line with GCP

Track and evaluate the quality trends from team performance and work with teams to optimize performance

Interview, hire, onboard, and train new members into the team

Set clear and actionable goals for the team and support them to deliver to expectations

Review KPIs and provide coaching to manage to ensure they are meeting standard metrics

Facilitate team meetings

Assign and rebalance responsibilities as priorities evolve or team structure changes for any reason. Ensure appropriate balance between coverage of key priorities and the workload of the team

Take corrective action and provide feedback when the performance of the team or individuals within the team do not meet expectations

Facilitate regular calls with program partners to present progress including KPIs and other metrics, escalation, and adaptations to strategy

Prepare meeting agendas and circulate meeting minutes, follow-up on action items for self and teammates

Make decisions that drive the success of the program and optimize the experience for the clients (both sponsors and participants)

Keep leadership updated with important information regarding the development of the program, program performance, and other key information and escalations

Develop partnerships with support teams to create an environment of collaboration and progress

Proactively solve problems and identify opportunities for process improvement, including

Analyze and understand study protocols

Additional duties/responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Physical and Travel Requirements

This is a remote position with less than 10% travel requirements. Occasional planned travel may be required as part of the role.

Proper home office set-up including a private space for participant communication and high-speed internet (at minimum: 100MB up and 15 MB down, 5 GHz router)

Certifications/Licenses, Education, and Experience:

A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in clinical research, project management, and/or client relationship management, including experience developing a novel product or service

College degree or equivalent of education and experience

Clinical research experience
