About the Role:
Our Accounting Manager will be a leader focused on the health and improvement
of all areas within the Finance Department. This will include process
improvements, process efficiency, documentation, training, technology
improvements and implementations, assistance with month end close, reporting
and other special projects to assist with Company growth.
Candidate Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of accounting practices and ensure adherence to GAAP.
- Meet regularly with all functional areas to understand current challenges and processes, including AP, AR, Orders.
- Evaluate current processes while seeking improvements to increase documentation, efficiency, technology improvements, growth and scalability. This includes evaluating:
- Orders procedures and related technology
- AP processes and technology including Bill.com
- AR and billing processes
- Evaluate Project Management tools to assist with Finance projects, timelines and current status
- Collaborate cross functionally with business partners in Revenue Operations and Customer Success, etc.
- Maintain appropriate knowledge and compliance with state registration and sales tax
- Assist in audit preparation and liaise with auditors as needed.
- Provide guidance and support to the accounting staff.
- Manage and delegate tasks to ensure efficient workflow within the accounting department.
What you already know and skills you bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of advanced accounting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in accounting software (experience with GAAP is a plus).
- Experience with financial data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs.
