Objective: As a Marketing and Sales Operations Intern at Spokenote, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both marketing strategies and sales techniques. This position is designed to provide exposure to various aspects of our business, allowing you to develop valuable skills and contribute to real-world projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor analysis, and customer demographics to identify potential opportunities for marketing and sales efforts.
  • Content Creation: Assist in creating marketing materials such as blog posts, social media content, email newsletters, and promotional materials to engage with our target audience and support sales initiatives.
  • Digital Marketing Support: Collaborate with the marketing team to execute digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including social media, email, and search engines.
  • Production Support: Assist in preparation of direct mailers and other items using Spokenote technology.
  • Sales Support Tools: Help manage and optimize sales enablement tools such as sales automation software, prospecting databases, and email marketing platforms.
  • Event Coordination: Support the planning and execution of marketing events, trade shows, and promotional activities to increase brand visibility and drive sales.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Assist other departments such as product development, customer service, and office operations, as needed.
  • Professional Development: Sit in on critical business meetings, take advantage of training opportunities and attend professional events.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
  • Adobe Suite design proficiencies is a plus, but not required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey ideas and information.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and willingness to take on new challenges in a fast-paced startup environment.

**Hours & Schedule: **

12-15 hours per week between 9am-5pm Monday through Friday

  • Ideally three days for four to five hours each shift, but this is flexible based on students availability
  • Internship will be primarily based in our Fishers office, some remote projects may be possible

Duration and Compensation: This is a Fall 2024 Semester (August-December) internship with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs. Compensation will be $15/hr.
