YOUR ROLE

Would you like to be the key IT resource to drive the technology solutions delivered to the customer ?

If so, we have an opportunity to join our skilled and motivated Data & Digital group as our Java Software Developer.

As our Java Software Developer, you will be developing Digital and Data solutions, working with the Product Owner, Business lines, and other CEVA IT team members to deliver the solution that has been promised to the customer.

The role can be based in Houston (US) or Marseille (France).

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

  • You work with the Solution Lead, architects, the product teams, and the internal/external customers. You actively review progress during project stage gate reviews and provide input as needed.
  • You participate and contribute towards all SDLC stages
  • You drive various activities as assigned during the implementation of new solutions
  • You proactively work with the Product Owner and internal or external customers, to ensure the UAT (User Acceptance Test) is planned, staffed, and successfully executed.
  • You produce systems training materials as appropriate in compliance with CEVA standards. You provide systems training. You support post-launch activities as needed.
  • You actively provide continuous improvement recommendations for the application to Solutions Lead or other IT Management as appropriate to ensure the solution remains viable for CEVA's ever-changing business climate.
  • You provide mentoring and guidance to develop other team members, including training and knowledge transfer.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience in logistics industry
  • You have 5+ years' experience working as a Developer within a software development team.
  • You have knowledge or experience in PM (project management) tools and business acumen, solid knowledge of applications and implementing logistics technologies
  • You have proven experience performing as a technology analyst with expertise in analysing data in multiple formats.
  • You are knowledgeable in Agile methodology
  • You have the ability to query data using SQL, Advanced query writing skills desirable.
  • You have technical skills in Core Java ( JDK 8 and above), Spring Boot
  • You have experience with Jenkins (experience with Junit, Kubernates and GIT are a plus)
  • Having experience in Cassandra is a plus
  • You are able to translate technical terms to operational teams and vice versa.
  • You are able to perform technical analysis and produce effective business requirements documentation.
  • You read, write, speak fluently in English and have excellent communication skills
