Job Summary

The Payroll Specialist is a key role by being the primary functional processor of a large percentage of payrolls for FullStack clients. This role processes multiple payrolls on multiple cycles each week, volume depending on the calendar dates for payroll processing. This role also communicates frequently and professionally with clients and employees to answer questions and resolve issues. This role functions as an expert within the HRIS given the various payroll functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • Processing Payrolls accurately and timely
  • Communicating with employees and clients to resolve issues and answer questions
  • Creating, modifying, and managing paid time off plans within the HRIS
  • Creating variety of spreadsheets and data entry
  • Verifications of Employment, Child Support Orders, and other external data requests
  • Conduct demonstrations of software systems as requested
  • Assisting with other HR functions as needed

  • Ability to enter and process payrolls accurately and timely
  • Ability to verify details with payroll, comparing to prior period
  • Ability to establish PTO plans within HRIS and verify accuracy

2. Competency #2: Work independently and time management skills

  • Ability to self-manage own time within work day
  • Ability to complete all payroll postings within bank deadlines
  • Ability to assist team in lesser payroll posting times with various tasks as requested

3. Competency #3: Professional Communication Skills

  • Ability to communicate professionally, representing FullStack, with clients and employees, in writing and via phone
  • Ability to create, update, and manage tickets within HRIS Customer Resource Center
  • Ability to serve as cooperative team member to achieve tasks

Outcomes/Measures of Success over next 12 months

  • Process all payrolls timely
  • Process all payrolls with 99% accuracy
  • Create and manage paid time off plans for clients and employees within HRIS

Education/Knowledge/Skills Requirements

  • HRIS Experience; Prism strongly preferred
  • 1-2 Years Payroll processing experience, multi-state, multi-cycle, in various industries required
  • Experience payroll processing on multiple cycles (semi-monthly, bi-weekly) preferred
  • CPP or Bachelor's degree preferred (Accounting, Finance, HR or related fields)
