SharpenCX is a cloud-native contact center platform helping businesses deliver exceptional customer experiences. As we evolve our platform to meet new demands, we’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to help bring our strategy to life.

You’ll work on a mix of greenfield functionality and core product modernization. This is a high-impact role for an experienced engineer who enjoys shipping practical solutions, mentoring teammates, and making architectural decisions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable microservices in Typescript/Node.js.
• Collaborate with the Product and Engineering teams to translate ideas into robust, maintainable features.
• Build accessible, performant frontend components with React.
• Modernize existing systems and contribute to refactoring efforts.
• Guide architectural decisions and help define engineering best practices.
• Support and mentor developers via code reviews and collaborative problem solving.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js, Typescript, and React.
• Experience with one or more of the following database technologies: MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL
• Experience with testing frameworks and practices (unit testing, integration testing, TDD).
• Hands-on experience integrating with AI frameworks (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
• Experience designing and deploying services into AWS using Serverless technologies (Lambda, Fargate, etc).
• Solid understanding of backend and frontend architecture, with the ability to balance tradeoffs in scaling, cost, and developer experience.
• Comfortable owning features end-to-end and working closely with product stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring or guiding other developers.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Bonus: Experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks (AWS CDK, Terraform, etc)
• Bonus: Experience with autonomous coding agents and best practices (Cline, Claude Code, etc)
