<h2>Job Description</h2>

<p>Resultant is seeking an Hybrid-Cloud Enterprise Architect&nbsp;to join our Cloud Engineering team. If you are someone who enjoys working directly with stakeholders at various levels of an organization, this is the position for you! An ideal candidate deeply understands how to balance the moving parts associated with managing on-premise and cloud-native software implementations, has experience helping clients define business requirements, and quickly turns those requirements into action.</p>

<p>The position will work with the City of Indianapolis &amp; Marion County Applications Services Manager to ensure that appropriate foundations, frameworks, security, structures, and governance are available, and applied for Enterprise Application Services. There are over 180 unique applications or services comprised of roughly 1,000 documented SACM level 3 Configuration Items (CIs); many of these CIs will be moving to SACM levels 4 or 5 in 2022. 40% of the Enterprise Applications tracked are COTS (Commercial off the Shelf) but will still require a vendor to perform Third Party services. (Including PVD, Accela, Kronos, Salesforce) 40% are custom written and the selected vendor partner is directly responsible for the code base maintenance or improvement. 20% are custom written by an internal agency partner, and the selected partner may be responsible for providing support for any underlying Enterprise Services (i.e., database support, Web Server integration, Application or Service integration, etc.).</p>

<p>The City/County are Cloud first, where it makes sense (&ldquo;cents&rdquo;). They continue to shift workloads to Cloud Native offerings or Services and, to maximize benefit to the Enterprise, we give strong preference for &ldquo;Configure over Customize.&rdquo; The City/Count practices LEAN principles and expects our selected partner to reflect our Core EA principles, including architecting teams and services to promote diversity and inclusion. Roughly 70% are simple applications with less than 5 CIs comprising the Application or Service. 20% are Medium and 10% have more than 15 CIs directly attributable to their Service Map. City/County is predominantly a .NET and Microsoft SQL shop served by IIS. However, they do also maintain a significant Oracle and Apache presence.</p>

	<li>Strategize around modernizing legacy applications for migration from on-premise to cloud-native deployments</li>
	<li>Oversee move from on-premise to cloud environments through IOT to Indiana&#39;s Azure tenant</li>
	<li>Review and assess strengths and weaknesses of current infrastructure, environments, and application deployment methodologies</li>
	<li>Create documentation and visual representations of architecture design decisions and implementation plans</li>
	<li>Implement best practices for deployment and management of 3rd-party COTS software in a hybrid environment</li>
</ul>
