Anduril’s maritime group is seeking a Field Operations Manager to join our team. As a member of Anduril’s maritime team, you will be responsible for managing the field operations group that deploys and supports Anduril’s maritime products around the world. The right person for this role has a proven track record of leading field operations initiatives in a fast-paced environment. WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • **Lead a team **of Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) operators and field test engineers through all system deployments and operations. Proactively grow the team to meet the operational demand and develop a training program for new hires.
  • **Own the safety initiative **of the maritime Field Operations team including working with the group to develop procedures and training.
  • Collaborate with Engineering on R&D activities during the planning and testing phases of each project. Work with project leads to develop realistic plans and lead the execution accordingly. Ensure feedback for bugs, capability requests, and improvements for operability are clearly captured and communicated to Engineering.
  • Collaborate with Growth Operations team on the planning, execution, and reporting of program operations including in-water demonstrations locally, and at customer sites. Participate in proposal activities for scheduling and costing of efforts.
  • Engage directly with customers during test events, demonstrations, and services for planning and troubleshooting support.
  • Manage AUV assets for testing, customer operations, and demonstrations including creating and maintaining an asset calendar, developing maintenance procedures, and managing the vehicles’ spare parts pool.
  • **Partner with logistics **for all local and nonlocal operations including planning for facilities, support vessels, cranes, and other equipment.
  • Lead the creation of user manuals for our AUVs by outlining the content and collaborating with field operators and technical writers to produce a clear and comprehensive set of guides.
  • Manage Operations Facilities, Equipment, and Services required to support local operations, including maintaining facilities and tools required to support daily operations, interfacing with vessel service providers, and support equipment rental companies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven ability to master a technical system and support it in offshore and near-shore marine environments. Must demonstrate an innate drive to be self-sufficient across the breadth of a technical system.
  • Experience in managing a team of field operators and assets in a variety of geographical locations concurrently.
  • Experience working with the US Navy and the offshore energy industry.
  • Willingness to travel to customer events and demonstrations for up to 2 weeks at a time, several times within a year.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with tools and electronics.
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. Top Secret security clearance
