As the GNC team lead, you will work with the broader Anduril Engineering teams to understand product and company objectives and align the GNC team to those outcomes.

You will manage and mentor the engineering team while still jumping in and doing hands on technical work as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide technical leadership and vision for the Guidance, Navigation, and Control team as it grows in both size and capability
  • Make direct technical contributions as a GNC Engineer to the development of new and existing Anduril products
  • Provide administrative leadership for the Guidance, Navigation, and Control team as it scales with business growth
  • Communicate across various disciplines (systems, hardware, software, etc.) and with engineers from diverse backgrounds ranging from aircraft designers to game programmers
  • Manage requests from senior leadership and other engineering organizations to ensure work is properly allocated across the team
  • Coordinate Guidance, Navigation and Control tasking across multiple vehicles in various design states from preliminary design through flight test.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related field with focus on dynamics and control
  • Experience with airborne platforms
  • Experience in MATLAB or Python
  • Familiarization with 6-DOF simulations
  • Leadership experience with small teams in fast-paced research and development environments
  • Passion for defending the United States and its allies
  • Must be able to obtain and hold a U.S. TS/SCI security clearance

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MS or PhD in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering or related field
  • Experience with flight control design and analysis for fixed and rotary wing aircraft or missile systems
  • Experience with guidance algorithm development for ISR platforms or missile systems
  • Experience with inertial navigation, aided navigation, or advanced estimation techniques
  • C++ proficiency
  • Experience growing and managing a team of 10 or more people
