We are working on cutting edge complex systems that need to operate in the
harshest of conditions. To support our development and deployments tasks we
are building up a Modeling and Simulation team to support our efforts. Our
goal is to create a modeling and simulation capability to support all stages
of our current and future product life cycles, from prototype development all
the way to deployment, training and sustainment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Have an outsized impact on the culture and key architectural decisions of the team
- Work on challenging problems in a fast-paced environment from across our portfolio of programs and products which include
- Work with multi-disciplinary subject matter experts to understand and adequately model pertinent sub-system, system and system of system dynamics
Work with internal and external customers to understand simulation
requirements and develop efficient modeling and simulation solutions
- Simulation solutions for Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithm development
- Software-In-The-Loop (SITL) solutions
- Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL) solutions
- Pilot-In-The-Loop (PITL) solutions
- Customer product training solutions
- Monte-Carlo simulation analysis
- Failure mode analysis
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years in relevant Science and/or Engineering related field; relevant academic experience (BSc. etc.) qualifies
- Knowledge of flight dynamics/flight physics and control
- Nominal proficiency with C/C++
- Nominal proficiency with scientific computing systems (Mathworks products (e.g., MATLAB, SIMULINK etc.), scientific Python (e.g., numpy, scipy))
- Flight test data processing experience
- Experience with developing sub-system and system level models (Air vehicle, ground vehicles, ground based sensors and other types of complex systems)
- U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 15 years in relevant Science and/or Engineering related field; relevant academic experience (BSc., MSc. Phd) qualifies
- Advanced proficiency with C/C++
- Advanced proficiency with Mathworks products (MATLAB, SIMULINK etc.)
- Nominal proficiency with FORTRAN
- Experience with model development to support Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithm development
- Flight test support experience
- Experience with developing emulated/simulation interfaces for on-board avionics
- Early stage startup experience
