Binance is currently looking for an experienced derivatives expert, who will support with managing our portfolio companies across Australia and New Zealand. This position involves more than just balance sheet management, market risk analysis and regulatory reporting, it will also need to work closely with the management team to support the requirements of the business.

The Balance Sheet Analyst should have strong risk mindset, solid knowledge of regulatory guidelines and a character that is one of honest and high integrity.

Job Description:

  • Deliver daily net tangible asset and P&L reports.
  • Analyse and interpret daily results in line with market moves, P&L drivers and risk positions, including investigating variances against trader estimates and ensuring revenue attribution is accurate.
  • Deliver balance sheet reconciliations, internal management reports, and monthly financial reports in accordance with AASB.
  • Assist in statutory and regulatory reporting.
  • Liaise with Front Office, Operations, Market Risk, and other stakeholders to resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Partner with Front Office on strategic desk initiatives.
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of product source system data interfacing the general ledger.
  • Maintain balance sheet management.
  • Prepare month-end ledger close.
  • Ensure ongoing enhancements to improve efficiency and controls and add value to the business.
  • Work on ad-hoc projects assigned by the Financial Controller and contribute effectively.

Job Requirement:

  • Solid exposure to financial services.
  • In-depth knowledge of AFSL regulatory reporting.
  • High numeracy skills and preferably some exposure to derivatives products.
  • Strong risk mindset.
  • CA/CPA or working towards this qualification (preferable).
